Before each type of container is put into actual use, it should be tested according to the required test procedures and the results should be recorded.
In the early stages of production and use, representative samples of packaging should be further tested in harsh environments to provide a basis for finalizing the suitability of the packaging. If the storage life of the package is less than 2 years, the expiration date must be clearly indicated on the package.
The material texture of the packaging containers used for the test shall be the same or similar to that of the packaging containers in official circulation. After changing the size or shape of the packaging container, or the thickness and lining material of the packaging plate, the packaging container shall be retested before use.
Packaging lids shall be tested with the packaging container. Packaging lids shall be retested after a change in type, coating or lining.
